We Warned You About Logan Paul

We warned you about Logan Paul. In fact, our sponsored creator, Service Dog Paws was featured on #DramaAlert regarding this very topic. Yet we were met with excuse after excuse of why other people's PETS shouldn't interfere with our SERVICE ANIMALS. Yet, here we are completely blindsided by the fact that it could have affected us in the future, down the line, and it did.

"Responding to an increase in such incidents as animal bites, barking and defecation, Delta Air Lines has announced new requirements for passengers who want to fly with a service animal or emotional support animal.

Starting March 1, all passengers who want to fly with an animal in the cabin need to provide proof of the animal’s “health or vaccinations” 48 hours in advance of the flight, plus a document signed by the passenger confirming that the animal can behave in the cabin of a plane.

The new policy is in addition to a preexisting requirement for people with psychiatric service or emotional support animals: Such passengers must bring a letter signed by a doctor or a licensed mental health professional attesting that the passenger needs to fly with the animal.

Animals brought onto a plane must fit on or under the seat with the passenger and cannot obstruct the aisle.

The U.S. Department of Transportation has adopted general guidelines to allow passengers to fly with emotional support animals but has given airlines the authority to adopt tougher restrictions.

Delta said the new policy comes in response to an 84% increase in animal incidents since 2016. Those incidents include animals urinating, defecating, biting, barking and lunging on planes, the airline said, adding that a passenger was mauled by a 50-pound dog on a Delta flight from Atlanta to San Diego last year.

The Atlanta-based airline said it carries about 700 support animals a day or nearly 250,000 annually, among the 180 million passengers who fly Delta each year. Emotional support animals are usually dogs or cats, but the airline said passengers have tried to bring turkeys, possums, snakes, spiders and other creatures on board.

“The rise in serious incidents involving animals in flight leads us to believe that the lack of regulations in both health and training screening for these animals is creating unsafe conditions across U.S. air travel,” said John Laughter, Delta’s vice president for corporate safety, security and compliance.

The Assn. of Flight Attendants issued a statement in support of Delta’s actions.

“We are not surprised by their data that shows an 84% increase in reported animal incidents since 2016,” the statement said. “We are seeing more and more animals in the cabin and it appears there is growing abuse of the system.” - Hugo Martin for LA TIMES

You don't say. Fake service animals increased recently? Well gee, I can't think of any reason for that can you? Oh right, So doing something ignorant in front of millions of kids that look up to you ended badly. Oh you weren't punished? Everyone else was? Oh, we know Logan. Typical.

You remember him and his dog dragging feces through a delta terminal just a few months ago. The airplane line that drags people off due to their own mistake and overbooking, is now making it more difficult for those of us with disabilities to travel.

Enough is enough!

While it's clearly not all Logan's fault, I blame him entirely for ignoring our pleas to stop the behavior and remove the video. Allowing his PET to DEFECATE all over the airplane terminal surely doesn't help our cause. My question is, how is the airline that doesn't even know certificates don't exist going to determine who gets a service dog? Sounds like a huge ADA scandal to me. So add time and anxiety to that travel arrangement because now you're going to get REALLY personal with the TSA agents. Let me ask those without animals, do you feel comfortable giving your private medical information to TSA agents? Neither do we.

I must digress, as once again, disabled people are given another hurdle to climb during the already difficult process of traveling. I don't think I'll be comfortable on a plane again as I can only imagine how much more abrasive it can be than the already well known practice of fondling myself and my service animal.

SO thanks Logan Paul, the infamous internet it boy (no joke, dude's a clown) ONCE AGAIN gets plans put in effect that will do nothing to him and affects only the victims of his actions. Us. Thanks for making our lives harder than our diseases and disabilities already make it.

But yo, did Kong like the ride? *dabs*

Idiot.

Someone should consider a class action. *COUGHS IN THE ADA'S GENERAL DIRECTION*
