Rights VIOLATED at Naperville Dispensary?

Rights VIOLATED at Naperville Dispensary?

I've hemmed and hawed over this article. It's really made me look into myself, my company, my limitations and who I am as a person. Let me explain a bit of backstory for those of you who may not know me yet. You will.

My name is Kimber. I own an international multi-brand CBD company. One of the biggest, best, and most honest companies around as we're not owned by a brand or product and have no reason to hide the truth about it or simply refuse to sell it. Brands, cultivators, lab owners and dispensaries from all over the world contact me daily to do business. I'm a little slow, but I'm thorough. I give everyone their time to make or break our business relationship before letting it be offered to my customers and supporters. I'm big into legalization and I've been involved with many medical marijuana, cannabis, and cbd companies for a few years now. When I'm not working on Natural Healthy CBD I'm working to right something that had been very, very wrong and I've been witch hunted. I've been "bullied." I've been harassed. I've been put on lists. I have been called a bitch that approaches things like a pit bull. I've been mocked for my PTSD, intentionally triggered, then mocked again. I've had people mock my seizures. The part of this paragraph I choose to pay attention to is as follows:

My name is Kimber. I own an international multi-brand CBD company.

I'm NOT a victim. I don't victimize myself on a daily basis, in fact I'm known to call out that manipulation. I don't have to cry about being disabled, having a service animal, my conditions or anything that isn't anyone else's problem to garner sympathy. I have worked so hard for who I am and what I have become which far surpasses any victim card I could pull. While I have them, I choose not to play that game.

That said, I recently acquired Service Dog Headquarters. In the service dog community there's a toxicity I've been fighting for a very long time. Think to yourself, after a long day of everyone staring at you or attempting to pet your medical device, you come home to the only place you are welcome and it's just one handler attacking another. That was the service dog community and it only got worse the more we were manipulated into trusting the wrong people. We ARE making a place for new and experienced handlers young and old can come to find a nice place full of real accepting people that understand the one thing in their life no one really does, their service dog team. We're against actual bullying but we will often say, "I'll pick you up off your ass but I won't wipe if for you."

So, how do I say what I'm about to say professionally, as an owner of a business in your industry, without victimizing myself in the narrative simply due to having a service dog?

I must say I am shocked at the behavior of the budtenders I trusted and provided my loyal patronage to for 3 years. The budtenders who knew the aforementioned and still decided to trample over my rights and my rights to defend them. They're HORRIBLE at dealing with the actual sick people they propose to help. 3C Compassionate Care Clinic in Naperville, IL is going to end up a black stain on the industry if they don't get it together.

Since the purchase and new ownership of 3C by GTI Rhythm the quality of customer service and product has gotten worse overtime but this, this is not something I can forgive.

The above stated, they knew about me. It provides extra sting to that slap in the face. 3 years of it.

Fact is, I've attempted to educate before to no prevail. They simply don't care.

On Friday, the 13th (fitting) I went in as per usual. My service dog Gotham (pictured below) patiently by my side.

A woman entered with a tiny, shaken dog. I didn't think about it really, as Gotham has never had a problem with dogs, but the woman was incredibly concerned with placing the dog on the floor and kept asking my approval without really listening when I say, "well, he's training and we don't really see other dogs at work."

The little PET dog snaps at Gotham causing him to bark. Luckily it was my turn to go in. I thought they heard the commotion and separated us because, common sense.

Nope, Just as I got Gotham calm they have her walk in causing my SERVICE DOG to become uncomfortable again. What they should have done was ask the woman remove her PET. I don't really like trouble so offered to give Gotham to my roommate in the car.

However instead, I came inside to her asking if she can buy CBD weed for her dog and if it really works. The dog had anxiety... no kidding. I later found out that's an illegal practice in Illinois but that's neither here nor there.

While waiting for my change I'm watching this lady fawn all over her dog who's ass is now on the counter I come to to buy my edibles at. Delicious. At this point I felt not only disrespected but mocked.

"It's really sad no one said anything. It's really sad I had to remove my service animal because a full grown woman is so spoiled she needed to bring her dog inside," I said.

"It's fine," a budtender jumped in.

"It's really not because people like me every day get our rights trampled because it doesn't matter to you. You cripple me when you bring your dog in that's clearly got an anxiety problem."

It was then 7 full grown men decided I didn't have a right to defend my rights, the rights I defend for a living. I got excuses about her calling, and maybe it is a service dog that can't walk, I called ahead (even though it's a service dog.)

Then... I got... we allow pets. It's our policy.

I don't give a damn about your policy!

YOUR POLICY ISN'T ABOVE MY FEDERAL RIGHTS!

Murder is illegal... think you can change that with a policy?

That is a screencap or desktop screenshot of the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) government website.

You can just as easily access this legislation by visiting typing ada.gov in your browser and searching for yourself. I post this because it's very apparent that 3C Naperville didn't even know that we had rights.

So now, I'm ganged up on in a corner without my service animal stopped by a manager, that later apologized. Well PTSD was triggered and on the way to the car I seized in the parking lot. WOULD HAVE BEEN REALLY HELPFUL FOR THE WARNING FROM MY SERVICE ANIMAL so I didn't have to throw up on the side of the road and destroy my mental capacity for two days. IS THAT NOT THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT MEDICAL MARIJUANA IS GOING FOR?

This shameful display has made this dispensary the worst on our tour and now, in Illinois fashion, I have to find another dispensary that isn't owned by the same company, GTI.

SHAME on the 3C crew whom I've been nothing but loyal to, them admitting that upon my leaving. I leave the following for them, because I've already filed an ADA complaint and if this continues, I won't be the only one.

If the day comes when legalization hits and we can work together in this industry, my first thought would be, how are you going to care about MY disabled customers? What are you in cannabis for? Money? If it's anything other than to help those of us whose lives have to be dedicated to your service you need to quit so you can save up money for all the discrimination lawsuits you will inevitably begin to occur and the other people that spend a couple thousand dollars a month with you will also leave. Your best staff is gone and your service gone downhill. Now this?

This will lead you to the current Americans with Disabilities Act and subsequent penalties due to violations. YOU need to educate your staff regarding this FEDERAL LAW they must follow... as they aren't listening to the one's who's rights they're violating.

I hope that came across as I meant it. I literally call out bad Cannabis companies and service dog violations for a living. Of all people to do this to, why choose me? I'm more shocked at the situation. I'm not making a call to action. I don't promote bullying or bad business ethics. I simply report what I know and what I see. They knew that when they backed me in a corner and stole my rights from me, insuring their 4/20 sales go else where and they never see me or my money again... in any location they own.

I'm not alone... What's Twitter Saying?
